Does anybody understand the details of the TPMS sensor installation in AMG rims? My assumption is that the sensor installation dictates a new spin balance.
I am particularly curious if anybody has moved sensors from one set of wheel to another, of if this is a stupid idea because of the labor involved. Basically I am trying to figure out if I should buy a new set of sensors with the new wheels, or should I try to move sensors from current wheels to new wheels.

You could move the sensors if you have no need for the "old" wheels. If you plan to swap wheels (i.e. winter wheels) then it is best to buy a new set. It will require dismounting the tires and having them remounted and balanced.
