SLR Cams Dyno
Well, I've got some data but there are a few caveats:
1) I don't have a baseline dyno. Just the current.
2) The car has two mods: SLR cams and VRP 80 mm throttle body.
3) The dyno unit was a Mustang. Conventional wisdom is to increase the horsepower 8% (or more) when comparing to Dynojet results.
4) The unit was acting a little finicky so one of the runs stopped at 5,000 RPM and the other run had RPMs inflated by 25%. (No, my SL doesn't redline at 7,300 RPMs).
With those caveats, the results were 439 HP and 443 ft lbs TQ. Woohoo! I wasn't expecting them to be that strong!
Thanks again to fellow modders VRUS, Jakpro1, and Chromikey as well as the guys at Motorwerks.

jmf003- yes you really need to get asp pulley system installed. this will make a huge difference.

Hi, Adam. It was 93 octane.
Thanks for the recommendations, guys. It turns out I'm a mod junky. I really enjoy reading about the mods other people are trying, then picking and choosing what to do on my car.
A VRP airbox will be the the very next mod. Next is probably headers. I'm curious to see how the 55K motor runs with just airflow mods (intake, TB, cams, headers).
I know that a lot of people have gotten good results from the pulley upgrades. The ASP unit is very strong, of course. The new pulley from Euroelites also looks very interesting.

the pulleys, about $960.00 from asp, would be much more bang for the buck than the headers. do pulleys then headers.

Nice results, but I would look in to a custom tune before anything...you're lean up until about 4500 RPM's, then it goes rich on the top end...if you flattened that curve out, i know you'll gain some power and be safe at the same time...other than that, happy modding.

no heat problems. also, i recommend speedtuningusa.com, talk to oliver. some people didn't like his program, but it is now up to date works fine on my sl55.
