2008 911 GT2, bad a** ride!
Take the current 997 twin-turbo, make it rear drive only, bigger air intakes, further updated twin-turbo engine, borrowed GT3 suspension system, stripped out cabin to reduce weight (car weighs 100kg less than the regular 997 twin-turbo coupe), carbon-ceramic brakes, increased horsepower, increased torque, a shorter set of gear ratios, in-gear acceleration that will smoke even the current 997 tt coupe, a Club Sport Pack option at no-cost, and what do you get? The new GT2. What a nice car.

P.S. - Would any of you guys actually consider this car over a 65 AMG, or R8 V-10, or Ferrari?

Eh. The 996GT2 never sold that well and was also known as a widow maker. Like the GT3 and GT3RS, it has does not have PSM, only limited traction control. 996GT2s that listed for over 200k are now asking 130k with very few miles on them. They do look nice though.
