Bye Folks!

Well I can't say it's often I've left a forum entirely, but since I said good bye to my SL55 back in Jan at hefty loss, there's not much point to me sticking around these days. Save for the slim hope of ever tracking down Harris from Harton Motorworks who still owes me $4400 for the diff he never come through with before he went bust!

I entered into Mercedes ownership as a former BMW fan recently converted. I still remain a Mercedes fan and have influenced 2 Mercedes purchases in my family. I will likely never buy a 'high-end' AMG again in this country thanks to their being so out touch in pricing, but I will keep a keen eye on developments.

Thanks to all who I've enjoyed sharing topics with here, on the whole you guys are great!

I would post his name (Harton or Harris whatever) once a month just out of spite, until I got my $4,400 worth of posting.

Good luck with the next one.

Yeah, could I guess. But then it would be like it's cost my time to do it every month, kind of zero sum gain perhaps in the end.

Anyway, nice to finish off on the 200th post....I timed that well eh!

Hey OzSL55,

No need to leave the board. Stick around and join in from time to time. The board won't leave you!
By the way, I love Australia, my sister-in-law lives in Brisbane. We will be visiting with her again this Nov. and Dec.

All the Best.

Bear

Sorry to see you go. I too, will probably not buy a new AMG again, because of the depreciation. But, fortunately I keep my cars a long time so the pain will be less and the fun will certainly outweigh the negative.

Feel free to join in from 'down-under' whenever you feel like it.

I'm happy to keep an eye out and talk to others who are in the same boat re Harton. I can't do that much from the southern hemisphere unfort though.
