Hopefully 65 owners will get some nice upgraded pumps and intercoolers so the cars can utilize that tremendous power plant,

You will need to post something as the backlash from what transpired today will certainly shed some reality on the Gallardo, Benz matchup..

We will get video of the Gallardo vs ClS63. Even with your numbers from what is claimed to be the fastest CLS in the U.S. I ran a 12.45@116mph at a D/A level of 3500 in AZ. Ive also only run my car 4 times.
My car is stock , I was under the impression we were talking stock vs stock which IMO a drag race would be very close and entertaining.
My best at altitude is 13@107 with a 1.69 60 ft.
DA=4900
corrected to seal level 12.3@114
Your car is faster but not by enough to guarantee a win. I think I could stay close . As far as your CL600 comment the proof is in jasons vid. His modded CL600 is faster than your Gallardo by a wide margin

I know from experience I can keep up, and its not difficult. We just took down the Gallardos big brother on the 101/170 merger. The CLS is fast and is the fastest 4 door coupe on the planet Earth
there is the video, there was a serious loss of power and it backfired when hot on decel after the throttle was released.
Something is way wrong with that 65. Great sound from the Gallardo.
Look, the Gallardo (pre 06) vs. the M5 stacks up like this; 492bhp vs. 500bhp, is 6-speed vs. 7-speed and is AWD vs. RWD.
Even the official figures put the top speed of the 492bhp Gallardo at a drag limited 192mph and the 513bhp variant at 196mph. The M5 is rated at 204mph.
Also, remember the Gallardo engine is a current Audi 4.2 L V8 (featured in Audi's S4, A6, A8, and Q7 models) with two extra cylinders added and a slightly smaller bore diameter. The E60's V10 is a ground up specialist engine.
Yes the Gallardo weighs less (3,450lbs vs. 3990lbs) and will beat it in the 1/4 or through the twisties but above 100mph on the highway, I wouldn't be so dismissive unless you're driving the SLR.
A great weekend with real enthusiasts and real drivers.

Video 40-170mph. M5 gets the jump each time.
