SL55/63/65/R230 AMG AMG 19" split rims

AMG 19" split rims

Got a 2004 sl55 F1 spec with 20k km on the clock. I had a clicking noise from the right rear. The dealer has just informed me the inside of the 19" AMG split rim is falling apart (I need to get more details) and the left rear is begining to do the same.

This cas has been looked after like a baby so pretty upset and I indent to contact AMG (as I now have a bill for euro 3,500) just wanted to know if anybody else has heard of this problem before?

i hope you are buying new rims instead of repairing the stock ones for 3500 Euro

i had 2 wheels replaced on a cls63 amg 030 package also. Same clicking sound from the wheel where the 2 pieces meet.

F1 spec was supposed to be based on the F1 safety car. Uprated brakes, unrestricted, 19" split rims, some changes to the suspession and different front skirt
