New Owner, Just Need Some Info From All You Sl55 Owners Out There
hey, i just got a used 03 sl55 (46k miles) and i was wondering how the car rides in the long run. I first wanted to know if you guys had any problems and if so which ones? After the warranty ends, is there something that always goes wrong and will cost me alot of $$? also, i was wondering about the longivity, and durability of the engine (how many miles you think i could put on it til i have to look for a new car)? Does the drop top have any problems in the long run? and if so how much was it to fix it and how long did it last before it needed a repair (did warranty cover? did the problem reoccur), i know that this was the first year sl55, and like all first year models there are problems, PLEASE FEEL FREE TO SHARE ANY ADVICE STORIES OR ANYTHING, IM OPEN TO ALL YOUR CRITIQUES, QUESTIONS, ANSWERS, WARNINGS, WATEVA! I have had my SL55 since '03. It has served as everything from a daily driver to a track car, and has been brilliant. It has also served as a test bed for our 55K tuning. The only problems that I have had in this time has been a failed ic pump and 1 tire pressure monitor.
