No, I can't say I enjoyed your post because I thought it was trying to state a little more than personal opinion.

The cars have grey leather - one pic has a black steering wheel and two pics have grey wheels.
The black looks really strange with grey everything else and it seems crazy for MB to offer only this combination on a 90 thousand pound car. Even worse to have a black wheel if you have spent another 2,000 plus pounds on exclusive grey nappa leather.
There were postings a couple of months ago from Richard and others about steering wheel colours and some discussion about a grey AMG wheel being available at extra cost.
Any thoughts from SL55 owners on this? Is a black wheel acceptable in a grey interior? Should we petition MB to supply steering wheels same colour as the interior leather?
Jeremy Clarkson was pretty vocal about MB in his Sunday Times article. Shouldnt be too difficult to enlist his support.

To be honest, the AMG dials and the alumium really spoil it for e, I mean the new CL55 has all the comforts of a CL600, with different woods, etc, but for the SL, here in the uk all we get is the alumium and three colour combo's.
To be honest, the interior I really like is this:

and my favourite colour is Tellur silver (silverish blue). It really suits the SL.
