TPMS: Reactivate with R-Button

After adjusting air pressure in my SL55's tires, I got this message on the dash for TPMS "Reactivation Possible: R-Button" I have no idea what the "R Button" is and can't find any reference to it in the documentation. Anyone??

It's the small button between the speedo and the tacho. It can be turned (to adjust dial luminance) and pressed (to reset some things on the digital display)

I didn't want to clutter the forum by starting a new thread so posting on this old 1,

I get the tpms not active warning and tells me to press the reset button, so I press the reset and hit the + button to acknowledge which also beeps then says "activated." I drive a few miles down the road and the same warning message comes up says "tpms not active" ; am I doing something wrong or is there a malfunction?

Sounds like one or more of your tps's may be bad. I had the same thing happen to me and it turned out that my passenger rear tps was bad.
