Cheap SL65s on eBay?
2 cheap SL65's on eBay right now (85k and 89k).
Anyone know the history of these cars? Silver one (85k) has been in an accident, per the carfax report. Black carfax looks clean.

Oh yes, very tempting
I was gonna ask the same question. ![crazy](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/crazy.gif)
But I do not necessary think there need to be issues.. 2007 is at the end and psychologically in January the cars will be 1 more year older..
Otherwise both offers are VERY tempting.

I assume it went for 66k AFTER it was repared, right? I still think it is a tempting offer, though.

Does CARFAX provide details regarding accidents? Can you tell how serious was it just by checking that report?

Lemon should show up on the carfax, unless it has been recently lemoned and does not show yet.
Wasn't there a board member here who was tboned in their SL65 last year? the silver one could possibly be that car.

Funny because while owning a "lemoned" or "buyback" car can be tricky, the actual designation is merely just a label. In the case of Mercedes-Benz owners, the label could be designated due to many possibilities:
1. Horrible car with lots of problems
2. overly frustrated owner
3. overly fussy owner
4. overly fussy owner with lots of pull who buys lots of benzes from their dealer
5. overly fussy owner who is a lawyer
6. easy way to make a customer happy on a trade in
But I agree, they are tricky to buy and re-sell.

SL55AMG, Ferrari 348, Ferrari Testarossa, Ferrari F40, Ferrari Mondial t, Ducati 916, Indycar
Both cars have plenty of warranty left......but the SL65 is becoming a huge performance car bargain. Very tempting.
