I just bought 20" wheels and they may have been on a SL500 before.

Does the SL55 and SL500 have the same hub diameter?

Be careful!
You may need spacers to clear the brake calipers.
I believe AMG cars use the Brembo calipers and they are dimensionally larger than stock calipers....I could be wrong- but - better safe than sorry.
Spin the wheels by hand before driving off to make sure you have enough clearance!

E63, SL 550 Sport,C63 Coupe On the Way!!
Funny this post came up. I have a late 07 Production E63 AMG

I recently purchased a snow tire and wheel package for the car from the Tire Rack.

Now the rims had a plastic hubcentric ring but it was 66MM bore.

Now when they were bolted on they just didnt sit on the hubs properly and had to be worked to fit. The rings were plastic and wore themselves out to try and fit.(stretched out)

End result is terrible vibration because they are not tight on the hubs and are just relying on the lugbolts right now. I then have been going nuts with the tire rack and they sent me aluminum center bore rings, 66MM again, Now since they are aluminum and not plastic they didnt fit at all. I later measured my hubs and I have a 66.78 MM hub bore.

They told me E211 all have 66mm and that they never test fitted this wheel and tire package on my car. So i am having a shop custom make new rings to see if this problem gets solved so best bet for you it to buy or borrow a digital caliper and measure to be sure.
