Yesterday we had a horrific storm here in the Sacramento area with wind gusting up to 80 miles an hour. On the way to my office a cardboard sign blew into the front of my SL55. Fortunately it only it the rub strip on the passenger side and scuffed it and did leave some scratches. How do I go about removing the rub strip to take it to the body shop? Any help would be appeciated.

if the sl is like other mbs the strip is pop off part . it slides back a few mm and then puls off . if the side marker is there be careful with the wires also thie part is more than likely color coded so if you buy a new one you will not have to paint it also it may help to heat up the part with a hair dryer before you begin to take it off
