SL55`s for sale e-bay
There are 6 SL55 cars for sale on e-bay one of them has a option to buy it now for $154,000 http://search.ebaymotors.com/search/...aytag1=ebayreg , prices seem to be going down as seen in the posting of the dealer offering one for 15,000 over. https://mbworld.org/forums/showthrea...threadid=23214 It just a matter of time before u can order one at sticker from a dealer in a rural area, and wait for it.

Only high volume dealerships will be receiving these.

SL55AMG,
What is your definition of a high volume dealership? I have one arriving next week at a medium-sized dealership for MSRP and had one on order in Texas, before I moved, at a small "rural" dealership for early 2003 delivery - someone lucked out when I left in late 2001. I agree that the high volume "VIP" dealers got the first and most allotments, but they are not getting them all.

Not likely. Birmingham is larger, and Montgomery is as large and richer. I would suspect we got at least 3 (don't know much about the dealer in far north Alabama). Also, I had a Z8 (switched to SL55 on confirmation of US delivery) on order in little ol' Wichita Falls, Texas, and they even had 1 allotment per year in that relatively small and isolated burg. Mercedes and BMW play to where the major markets are most of the time, but they most certainly will reward ALL loyal dealers who have customers who want the high end automobiles. It probably didn't hurt that I am also a very loyal customer to them
