The new SL63 is leaps and bounds better looking than the Sl55. Just look at those pictures! The car will look much better in person as is always the case but these pictures do justice. What a breath taking car. Might be the best looking of all the 63 models with the CL right after.

I understand your comment based on your new vehicle: 2008 SL 550. It does suck to buy a new car right before a new style comes out, but nevertheless, the new SL has grown on many including myself, and you will see a lot of them on the streets. Technologically and mechanically it is a far more superior car. You only have to get used to the front, which is starting to make our SLs look outdated
Sucks but it is true! I have had a good 5 years from my SL, without any issues. Great cars

I saw the new one before I bought my 2008. That is why I bought a 2008. The 2009's are not superior tech. or mechanically. what, they have a new transmission on the AMG's, which is unproven. Same suspension and everything else oh wait I forgot the 2009's have the ET phone home head rests ![rolf](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/rofl.gif)

a car that gets very poor gas mileage.
A real beauty!
If any of you are Formula 1 fans then you would have seen this thing driving around the Melbourne Circuit this past weekend. It is the new pace car for the 2008 season.
I'm a non-SL owner (but doesn't mean I'm not biased) and I have to say that this new SL63 AMG is stunning aesthetically.

Its better to praise the goods of something than be envious.
Your car is still nice in my opinion, but will look outdated very soon, much like my own baby. Thats just the way it is

ha! awesome! like i told you in the other thread, in the beginning everyone hates the new shape of anything, including many who have the old shape... like all the people who predicted doom and gloom for the w204 when it was coming out. this thread must be torture for you, to see people starting to like it... and this is only the beginning! now instead of the sl resembling a w203 from the front it looks a bit more like a w204.... it's evolution!
you can almost see the bloodlines in the shape of the grill and lines in the front air dam... i really like this car!

I like it I think...some shots of the front for somereason kinda reminded me of an infiniti, Rear tailights hardly changed, maybe a little slimmer. I agree tho, amg version is pretty dam sick...looks very good in white

I am interested how smooth that design will be and how long they will last. I know it's not exactly the same but Ferraris and Lambos with a similar clutch are not that smooth and don't last that long. I'm sure MB has figured out a better way.
