Is it Too Late to Custom Order a New 2008 SL55?
The MBZUSA web site still offers a functional "build your own" option for the 2008 SL55 but not for the 2008 SL65.
Because the new SL63 styling does not float my boat, I'd prefer to get a 2007 or 2008 SL55 in white with the P30 Performance option.
I've concluded that I can not find a pristine 2007 or 2008 SL55 in white w/the pana roof and P30 performance option which has not been abused by a lead-footed previous owner here in the U.S.
My question is ..... Is it really too late to custom build a new 2008 SL55?![nix](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/nixweiss.gif)
So says my local dealer while trying to sell me a new in-stock 2008 without the P30 option at $23.5K under MSRP window sticker for an all cash transaction.
However, I must have the P1 and P30 options, plus a white exterior with grey interior (I may be flexible on the Pana roof, however).

Yup, too late to order a '08, but trust me and order a '09...just had a '09 SL550 training session and this car is definitely an eye turner. Plus it will have the new Command module, bluetooth integrated (std), and an IPOD hookup available. There are also other styling que's drawing from the old SL heritage which really make this one stand out a little more.

I know that some will claim it doesn't matter, but to each his own. It would bug the heck out of me.

I don't blame you for wanting the 08 SC motor and styling over the 09 NA with that aborted styling. There's no substitute for the kick of driving a SC'd car IMHO.
