I truly believe that it is all in the tire selction as far as what brand tire ur using, some tires have thicker tread and ride higher than others. The same concept that I ran into when I mounted a certain Falken tire to my 20x8.5 it was not a wide enough tire but the proper size tire, I had to return them and traded off for some Nitto 555 and they fit perfectly and were the same size tires as were the Falkens just not as wide due to the build quality of the tire. Tires can be tricky I suggest asking someone here who runs the same wheel size as urs and ask them what brand tires they are running. Hope U get squared away.

Depending on the lip size and width of the wheel the offsets varies...basically some wheels are built for these cars others arent. Everyone seems to run 305/25/20 with no issues. 295/30/20 isnt as common it seems.
