2011 SLC To Be Electric/Solar?

What are the chances of the future SLC doesn't run on gas at all?

Both designs look very similar. I've heard that HWA (DTM) went silent for the past few years to work on a new engine, this would be awesome if this was what they've been working on.

... Although ... I can't imagine spending $200k on an electric car.

Seeing as electric cars are powered off the electrical grid, which is in turn powered largely by coal and oil in the US, I'd say the chances are slim to none.

I'm sure they're thinking about it from a consumer standpoint just like every other car manufacturer that is working on alternate motors.

Most people wouldn't say..
"Hmm, I wonder where this gas I'm getting right now originated from and how does it relate to my carbon footprint"...

They would probably say...
"I wish I was filling up my car for $2.30 worth of electricity right now rather than $74.50 worth of gasoline"
