WHAT KIND OF MAINTENANCE SHOULD I BE READY FOR...?
LOOKING INTO BUYING A 04/05 SL 55 WITH MILES BETWEEN 20,000-35,000.
WHAT KIND OF SERVICE/MAINTENANCE SHOULD I BE EXPECTING TO DO
ANY INPUT ON.......IF I BUY ONE OF THOSE EXTENDED WARRANTIES WITH THE $100 DEDUTCABLES WHAT WON'T BE COVERED IS SCHEDULED MAINTENANCE COVERED UNDER THESE WARRANTY's?

I have an 03sl55 .In my opinion get an 05 , it has the dvd based navi system and I'm sure many of the glitches have been fixed by that year. As far as coverage I have an aftermarket warranty with a premium package and they do not cover for the regular schedule service and when problems occur they only cover the specific part listed in the contract(not the other parts associated with it) so be careful when choosing . Now if you buy a CPO and get the warranty through MB you don't have to worry about anything.

I know someone who has a pre-'05 SL55 and it's in the shop for at least a week out of every month. Be careful bro!!!
