the 65 is deceptively smooth.. and quieter.

you have to drive to for a while to sink in how much faster it is...

a short drive would result in exactly the experience you described.

Question to SL 55/65 owners:

The intercooler issues which some of you have experienced; are these covered under the factory warranty? Once replaced, are the replaced I/C better quality or same model/spec. Reason I ask, is I have been reading alot of newer SL 55/65 with very low miles getting their I/C pump replaced. Not sure what the root cause would be: bad quality or driving habits of owners.

Quite a few of the OEM Bosch pumps from the early 2000s failed after a very short life. Mine failed after four years and 2x,xxx miles and was replaced under warranty with a newer version of the same pump. Three years and 2x,xxx miles later it's still holding up.
