New ride, SL55 030
Picked up it yesterday, '06 SL55 030 black on red, all options minus pano and distronic. I'm sooooo happy, drove from SD up to Santa Monica and back home yesterday
Only 2 crappy pictures so far, have a lot to do to her mod wise... wheels, drop and red calipers being top priority
I need to research the IC pump issues some more, had the SC shut down on me a few times yesterday after some hard runs. ****ing lame. It was running strong when it cooled down lastnight.

Great car! The 030 package is a nice factory touch. Your problem sound like a failing IC pump.

Going to have to visit you real soon bud
Put a few hundred miles on her this weekend, wow, the more I drive it, the more I love it. The LSD makes a world of difference in the bends, love it. Dare I say, I'm also beginning to understand the love people have for the 55 motor over the 63, that low end torque makes day to driving an absolute joy.
Didn't get a ticket, just a warning

You have very good taste!!!!! SL65 looks, top speed up to 186MPH, the 55k engine which is very mod friendly, Black on Berry Int..... I WANT ONE TOO!!!!!

Do you notice how the car effects your smile ? You cant not have a good time when you drive it. Drop me a PM and get up early one of these Saturdays and do Cars and Coffee meet in Irvine. We have about 3 or 4 SL55`s that go about once a month.
Did you get Vadim to hook up your new IC pump yet ?

Excellent! I'm eager to meet Vadim in person, as VRP/Vadim are going to be adding a few mods to my 600tt

Will get SL Chick. The Ruess Radio guy and his couple of buddies with SL55`s and 65`s too. SL Chick is getting ready to buy a new SL63 soon too.
She wants to hang with the AMG crowd. She said to say hi to you.
Its great. Now you can get your Mods from Vadim and I can follow with mine.
My warranty is almost toast so now is the time to Mod mine too.
See you around Bro. Enjoy that ride. Something tells me your not driving the SL500 as much ? Just not the same is it ?

You can't extend your warranty?
The SL goes back in Nov, garage queen till then, haven't driven her since I got the 55

and at this point I guess I plan on keeping it 2 more years. Guess I should think about "extended" now that you mention it. I still have extended on my CL500. It was way worth the expense for that boat. Just worried the Mods would void the extended warranty ???
Had a feeling the old SL was basking in your garage full time.
Cant say I dont blame you one bit.

That always depends on your relationship with your SA/dealership. If you're thinking of lowering via links and pulley/ecu, I think thats pretty safe as these engines/trannys are pretty bulletproof what I've seen. As for the links, if anything happens it's not much work to go back.
