My reaction is that the MCT makes the 63 more responsive overall except for acceleration and the neck snaping torque.

More like a sports cars when in manual mode than the 5 speed 65. It's goes through the downshifts like a bowling ball through the pins.

The best way to restate my excitment is I can't wait for the 65 to get the MCT (maybe in just a 5 speed version)

The MCT won't let you activate RS mode until 1200 miles...but when I get the chance we'll do another video.

Cool video. I'm impressed that it actually captures the awesome exhaust growl. Can only imagine how it sounds from inside the "cockpit!"

2006 SL55 with 030 Performance Package

Congrats on your new SL63, I test drove a Black Black SL63 the other day it was fantastic, The MCT 7speed is awsome and the car is so much fun to drive with exhaust and high reving V8. I have owned 03 SL55 and 06 SL55 with the 030 package, I prefer the SL55 over the SL65. The accelerator response is more direct and sporting with the V8 AMGs for my taste.

Its kind of like reading specs for auido equipment, you can read all you want about the specs, wattage, but How does it Sound! Your not listing to the Specs

I have test driven 3 SL65s and I still prefer the SL55 and now the awsome SL63 with MCT its not as fast as the SL65 but the overall sporting package is more fun to drive for some reason maybe I am just Crazy!!!
