Cheap 2009 SL65s 165k-185k WHY! SO LOW
You know I have actually found some SL65 2009 new onez that dealers are selling them for 1605k to 185k.
They cant seem to move the 65's. Maybe more people now would get SL65s over 63 just because SL63 fully loaded comes close to 160k. My neighbour paid 170k for his. I am like damn!!!!

IMO SL65's have too much a premium over 63's for what they have.
It's crazy they have 100+hp over the 63 and weigh 400lbs more but have the same braking system

New body SL65's are still hot, hence the premium. Look at current ("old body") SL55's vs SL65, there is hardly any price difference. However, I disagree completely that there is not enough performance difference. SL65 would make SL63 look like a Honda civic from a roll, it will beat it by bus lengths from a 50mph+....

SL65 baseprice 196k
60k is a huge difference and too much imo for 100hp and nothing else. For a 200k car it needs ceramics...

Hmm that's a bit harsh. In my 09 63 against my buddies 08 65, we roll started at 30mph up to 75 (two lane on-ramp) and he beat from the back of his car to the front of mine, no more than 12-15 feet. A yellow school bus is between 36-39 feet

In reality on a dyonjet the 65 has 650 RWTO (underrated from factory stats) = 792 Crank TORQUE that's almost double the 63's anemic torque..A lil' more than just an extra 100 HP too they dyno stock @ 520 RWHP = 634 crank HP not the 604 mercedes quotes..

I can see the 65 pulling away more and more in triple digits because I used to own one, and I wish I got another 65 instead of the 63. However, the 612 should be replaced by a 599 soon so there's not much regret in buying the 63. Only if the wife would let me renntech the 63...

The point..?!
Well, I think it's called thrust.
And if that is something 63-owners don't appreciate, then why not save some money, and buy a 350...
And have "fun" in that one!
I mean, trying to convince the 65-owners that the extra power and torque is no use, will get you nowhere...
And neither will jealousy...

599's are incredible machines..............if you're getting a new one hopefully it will not need to have recall work done; for the bad rear ground, on it like the ones already on the streets.

Because they are overpriced to begin with. For 200k, most people would want something like Aston Martin, Bentley, Lambo. A 200k car needs to look and feel like it costs 200k, an SL65 simply doesn't.

Well, as far as quality goes, and performance too for that matter, I don't think either Aston or Bentley etc are any better...
So compared to them, I'd say it's not outrageous that a SL65 cost that much..! Convertible and all...
I think what ruins it, is that SL600 and even SL55 & SL63 cost THAT MUCH LESS!
(But I'm mostly reffering to SL600, since it's REAL EASY to get it up to the same HP as the 65!)
And that big a difference in price, is just very hard to motivate...
