In my experience, aftermarket catbacks tend to drone quiet loudly. On SL with the top down they become uncomfortable.
SL500 will also have 2.5'' pipes vs. 2.75'' on 55.
Like Murtaza recommended, cut out the resonators and see if it is loud enough, if not, open up stock mufflers and remove packing. For most client that was of enough increase in sound at fairly low cost.
