2005 SL55 Seat Belt Light Question
Hello All,

I just picked up an 05 SL55. I noticed that the seat belt light (on the dash board) goes on when you start the car then it goes off after a couple seconds regardless if you use the seatbelt or not. Also, while driving, if you unlatch the seatbelt, the seat belt light DOES NOT go on. Is this the way it is suppose to be or is there a problem? Thanks.

yup mine is the sameway ... thank GOD . ur fine

i cant stand those annoying cars that keep beeping over and over .

They changed it starting with the 2006 model where the seat belt light stays on and keeps beeping until you hook up the seatbelt.

My 2005 SL55 does the exact same thing. Its normal.

yep, same here, I thought my previous owner may have disabled it but glad to find out that this is the way it comes fro the factory.
