SL63 stalling issue in reverse and drive.
pls hlp....
My friend has the SL63 and when reversing the car stalls randomly.
The car is being driven in comfort mode and some times will stall in first while taking off from dead stop.
Any known fixes or issues with yours????
the dealer says that there isnt any service bulletins or known issues....weird

The clutches would make a little sense...is he fully stopped when going from Reverse to Drive? Ive only had a short experience with the MCT, but that could be a source of the problem for sure.

i think your on to something here, the dealer said that the clutch will jerk cause of engaging and disengaging, but i never thought it would cause it to stall.

.......did that and left us stranded at a stop sign with oncoming traffic, super dangerous!!!!
had to throw the shifter up into park start it again and floor it, outta control scary! so with that being said the car is going this week back to the dealer to have it looked at, ill get ya posted!
