Magma Red SL 55 pix from Otis
Hello, Members, listen up, and welcome to the " my checkbook is bigger than yours club," of which I'm a proud member.
First of all, I just want to tell anyone, if you have this car ordered, (i.e. SL 55 AMG) get it, and get it as soon as you can. I repeat, do not hesitate, because this car is a powerhouse. I can't find words to describe how this car drives. this car is very addicting to drive. I picked it up on Monday with 14 miles, I already have 148, I couldn't put it down. And, Oh, my God, the engine, the sound of it when you're driving. I start my car in the garage and the whole floor shakes. It's so sweet, I love the sound. My friends tell me I should hear it from outside coming down the block. I'm 110% satisfied with my car. It's more than I expected. I must say, Mercedes-Benz got it right this time when they built this SL 55. Guys, hurry up and get your car, I can't find words to describe how this car drives. I repeat, do not delay, it will be worth every penny and you'll enjoy it to the fullest extent.
By the way, about the 0-60 launch, unbelieveable, this car is unbeliably fast. watch out for the cops. I've never driven anything so quick and fast in my life. when you stop at a light and take off, you leave everything in your rear view mirror, including the cops, without knowling it, the car just wants to take off. So here are the pix, If anyone want more pix or a specific pic, let me know. I only took about six and I'm going to clean her up right now and take some more for you guys. so here are the pix, enjoy and here are the specs: every option except distronic and ventilated seats.
By the way, I couldn't sleep my first night, I had to look in my garage about five times b4 I went to bed, couldn't stop staring and believing yeah, I finally have one.

Interesting. I've seen magma red in person, but compared to your imola red x5, it's a very different color. I hadn't realized it's that much more orange in certain lights.
As for getting the car - those of us who haven't taken delivery yet are jealous...very much so. Of course, you guys rubbing it in our noses doesn't help.

the color on the X5 is a lot brighter, but for some reason, it doesn't show up that bright on this cam, and that Magma red is way brighter than depicted in the pic. I can't wait for you guys to get your cars and tell me what you think. I think you'll be real impressed, just as I am.

Congrats, car looks great , u need some closeups when u get a chance. Good write up also, I agree with u if u can get the car get it now and dont wait for command 2 or any other reason, take it if u can get it and afford it , good luck

hehe.. hopefully my checkbook will grow to be bigger than yours.. Love the color its my favorite - looks like you have a keyless go malfunction though in the dash picture I see that .. anyway's enjoy your car ..

I'm going to take some new pix this weekend and have them online by about Sunday, i'm going to use a regular cam, instead of the webcam and hopefully the color will come our better.
Sl55lova, I told you we had that "magma red" in color, it's driving people nuts here in NY, they've never seen anything like it b4 in their life, everywhere I go with it I get a gazillion compliments, and because I'm 28 and look 22, people wonder where the hell does this kid get a car like that? I tell them I bought it with my "greenbacks.
Bimmerlova, that's an X5 4.6is, and yes, it's a lot faster than the regular one, it has 345 hp, 0-60 in 6.1 seconds and it has standard 20" rims.
Muhri, it's not a keyless go malfunction, never had one of those malfunctions, I think I left my chip card inside the car or something. And I really hope your checkbook grows up and gets bigger than mine. Can't wait to indoctrinate you in the "my checkbook is bigger than yours club" as a certified SL55 owner.
