Just bought road & track SL63 0-60 4.0 SEC?
Just read the last fiew pages on road&track it's couple pages of 0-60 times for cars.
I went for the benz section of coz! It says sl63 0-60 is 4.0 I mean err? really? Any comments?

WTF is the difference on 0-60 ? i just can't stand when people talking of 0-60 when they talk of cars of that of level , yes it may do 0-60 in 4 second because the driver launched it very good , there are many examples when the car is slower 0-60 but after 60 it will destroy the other , for example gtr 0-60 its a beast and then it falls off

It is a performance measure, and a lot of people are interested in it. In fact, in my experience, when people enquire about the vehicle I drive they are more likely to enquire about its 0-60 time than its 1/4 mi time. As to the GTR, it is AWD. AWD cars typically have 0-60 times equal to faster cars thanks to the slingshot launch offered by AWD, but at higher speeds the cars with superior power-to-weight ratios always close the gap.
Anyway, 0-60 is certainly a legitimate topic in a performance-oriented forum.

R&T shows the SL63 and SL65 having identical 0-60 times of 4.0 seconds. I think it would take pretty optimal conditions for either car to achieve 4.0 but I could easily believe they'd run similar 0-60 times under similar conditions given the SL63's "Race Start" function.

Even though I am more interested in lap times around a circuit, I routinely see low to mid 4's for 0-60 w/my SL55
