'05 SL65
Well I finally took the plunge. I've been dreaming of an SL since they came out. I almost bought one last year but, was seduced by the yet to be released M6. I preordered and received one of the first in Canada. I tried for almost a year to get used to the SMG transmission. I hated it. Now it's sold and I just bought a Black/Black 2005 SL65 with 5,000 miles and all options from a dealer in Chicago and am anxiously awaiting delivery. This is my first MB. I'm not sure if I'll do anything to it, other than a Reus stereo upgrade.
I've learned alot by monitoring these forums and it's helped my decision.

it's really refreshing to see a red SL out of all these black and silver ones...
i think when i am sick with my black SL, i ll paint it red and then i can keep it for another few years.. .oh... but my interior is red... will be quite weird..

which is SL spoiler?
I would get the performanceproducts.com rear spoiler..
i have it on my SL and I think it is MUCH cleaner than the lorinser one.. the lorinser one is 3 times as much and doesn't even look as good...
not very good pictures, but it's all i have of the spoiler on my car.. looks very integrated into the exact curves of the rear end & rear lights, while the lorinser, imho looks kinda clumsy on the back..
i have nothing against lorinser, i even have the lorinser orange reflector bumper deletes from them on my car :> just overpriced and not very attractive imho for that big long 8oz piece of plastic..

It also accepted sl55, but not sl550 for some strange reason.
What year is your SL?
