I picked my Dream spec SL55 AMG up today, 2007 18.8k Miles, everyone at the dealership was impressed by the overall condition of the vehicle. Such a lovely car to drive, comfy and quiet when you want it to be, and very fast when you want to have some fun.
Just picked up my new ride. 2003 SL55 AMG, 50k miles. Love this car. I got it out the door for $20k. So much car for so little money. I was looking for a crossfire and ran into this deal in my home city no less. It's like fate.

Wow
I was pricing a set of those (w/ new PS4S tires) and they are close to the market value of an SL55 yikes.😝 One of the only “newer” wheels that are still offered in correct offsets for our cars too. Watch out for potholes. I had a set of forged LM’s that still got severely damaged barrels on our horrid streets in San Diego. Our cars are so heavy they eat up wheels - even mono forged ones. 🥲. The barrels are forged but centers are cast on CH-R 2’s right?
Cast aluminum center and flow formed rim section. Fairly light and very strong. I had them in my 2021 Supra for about 20,000 miles and all good. The PS4S still have over half tread on the rears and 3/4 on the front.
roads down here in SE Florida aren’t great but definitely better than many other places in the country.
A few more pics of the P30. Getting closer to deciding on lowering, a few smallish problems to sort, put some more shake down runs on her and she’s done.
Can’t get to the end of this thread but I don’t think I posted these pics here yet…
Purchased in Dec 2023. 68000 miles. Has performance package option.
RENNTECH R1 program, intake boxes, crank pulley, kompressor intercooler with separate tank, cat delete and long tube headers.
Pushing approx 610 hp. Too much fun to drive…
New single blade grill.
Does anyone know anybody that can look at my system and get it running again? I have an Autel but it just doesn't cut it.
I'm in SoCal but I will ship it anywhere. Thanks
New to MB World, but I have been an MB owner since 2000. Just took delivery on Catronelle II Monday, a 2019 SL63 with 9,500 miles. She replaces Catronelle i, a 2009 SL63 that lasted me 12 great years since I got her in 2012. Looking forward to some fun with you guys!
After each drive, back in the garage I open the hood and this warms up the garage, also gives the ice in my drink time to melt a little while I take a microfiber cloth and dust off the engine compartment. My wife asks me why I do this. I tell her, Because I can. Spent a bunch of years wishing I could have one of these cars and having a Black SL55 AMG with the amazing M113K engine is a dream. And I absolutely love the dark grey leather

Got new (to me) HRE 540 Classic 3 piece wheels last Christmas from a buddy who had them custom made for his Sl55. (19x9 ET30 19x11 ET31) I restored them w/ titanium hardware and changed the centers from highly polished to custom champangne gold centers. They look grey in normal light but you can see the gold flakes during late afternoon golden hour light. I wanted to go with classic gold but, to me that is a BBS exclusive look I reserved for my BMW E28 M5. I have tons of pics if you want to see them. My video shows the journey.
For those who just can't get enough of their car, did you know that you can go to a local UPS store and with photos in your cellphone, you can email them to the store right on the spot, and have them print them on 11 X 17 in full colour, then laminate them in plastic. I have several of those and you can use them as placemats on the kitchen table!!Fairly waterproof, last a long time and the cost is only about six bucks USD a lot of bang for the buck!! The legendary AMG M113K engine SR71 or Scramjet?
