SL55 - Squeaking noise when accelerating from a dead stop
Hello all,

Basically, when I accelerate slightly robustly from a dead stop, I hear a squeaking noise. Has this happened to anyone elses SL55? Thanks.

It is possibly the supercharger clutch. It is a fairly common symptom on the 55 engines.

I get a squeaking sound under hard acceleration from a dead stop too when changing gears on my SL63...very annoying.

Warranty, if you still have it. Or pay out of pocket and install the "06' Clutch pckg" at dealership.

I had that too when I drove it (Sport+ or Manual). That the clutch slipping as well, just not the supercharger clutch.

I think that is the 1500 rpm chirp. Had that on my 03 SL 55. My 05 does NOT have it.
