19" SL63 Wheels.... on a 06 SL55?... opinion please
Gentlemen,
I wanted to get some of your expert opinions on installing the new SL63 19" amg wheels - on my 06 SL55.
The color of my car is the irridium silver...
Any opinion would be greatly appreciated.
I was going to purchase the new SL63... but I decided to keep my 55.

As I understand it, there are 3 different set of wheels to choose from, to the SL63 (at least here in Europe).
And compared to the SL55 wheel (if you have the turbine model) any wheel will do just fine..!
Because that wheel sure looks terrible. To say the least. (just my opinion)
But if you today have the 5-spoke wheel, and since that wheel looks OK, then go for some 20" instead...
Only then, you'll get to see some great improvement compared to what you have today!
PS. The 55 is quicker than the 63 right..?

There's limited real world data on the acceleration of an SL63. E.g. there are no posted SL63 results on Dragtimes. However, magazine tests generally have the cars very close in performance. E.g. Car and Driver's numbers were 0-60 in 4.4 seconds and 1/4 mile in 12.9 seconds @ 112 mph for the SL63 versus 0-60 in 4.5 seconds and the 1/4 mile in 13.0 seconds @ 110 mph for the 2003 SL55.
