SL55/63/65/R230 AMG: What's going on with NXCess Motocars? SL550&SL55
I wanted to share this comic experience with you guys. I am in the market for a 2007 SL55 and I came across this dealership. I honestly don't know what's going on with some pre-owned cars dealership.
This is their website: http://www.nxcessmotorcars.com
When you check their inventory under Mercedes then SL models, there seem to be a major problem.
Stock # 120856 posts as a 2007 SL550 but when you look at the pics, the car has all the SL55 V8 Kompressor distinctions: "V8 Kompressor" written on the sides and "SL55" & "AMG" on the rear. Moreover, the seats do not have the "AMG" badges and the rpm & mph odometers do not have the "AMG" & "V8 Kompressor" logos.
Stock # 126970 appears as a 2007 SL55 and it is a SL55 but when you look at the pics, it does not have the "V8 Kompressor" written on the sides nor anything on the rear". You can tell it's a SL just by looking at the 4 tail pipes, AMG logo on seats and logos on odometers.
All this to have your opinion: should I trust this dealership? I mean, what's going on? Why change/remove badges like that? I have a bad feeling but wanted to have a second thought from any of you guys.
I thank you ahead of time all.

I think what you have here is a poser with the SL550. It is a rebadged SL550 and not an AMG. The SL 55 is a real one---yes all the things that you pointed out plus look at the calipers; they are 55 calipers. It is not abnormal for people to remove the badging on their cars so I would not be upset by that. Likewise it is not out of the ordinary that people will try to make their cars what they are not like the SL550. I think it is the little ***** syndrome.

Stock # 126970 is a 2007 SL55.
I know it's hard to believe, but sometimes dealerships get pics mixed up with their inventory on their website. It would be best to call them and let them know that their website is inaccurate and you would like pics of the actual SL550 if there are any available.
What bothers me is pricing they are using. $49,000 for a 2007 SL550 with only 15,000 miles smells fishy to me.
