i know, i am sure that they are able to do it but they just don't want to take the risk if anything go wrong on the suspensions.. too bad there aren't many place that's specializing in MB modifications in Toronto.

yes i do ..... downtown , bloor bathurst area . i want to lower my beast aswell and ive heard that u can lower it @ the dealership . I think it would have to be a inside connection in order to do it through them . Either way im not in a rush to lower the car, winters here soon and the AMG will be stored. Also lowering links are a good method to lower these badboyz. cheap and easy to install i here.
wat color is ur ride ?

The Star dx system can be used to lower the cars, but most dealers won't do it. Most of the techs that I know really don't know how o do it properly.
I have a MB tech that is brilliant at it. He does cars for us in AZ. Take a look at my SL55 on our MB page. The setting that the pics were taken on is the middle setting. The ride is slightly more firm and the handling is a bit better now. http://www.veloceperformance.com/mercedes.htm

I wish you lived in LA California. I could do it for you in less than 10 minuts. I always lower than and you can even be next to me to tell me how low or high you want your car to be. P.S. Your SL has ABC Hydro suspension not Airmatic.

first i want to make my own links and when i was under the car i had the idea, not changing the lengt of the links, antett changing the angle of the sensors.
on front i unscrwewed the sensor and placed 3 washers with 5mm heigth together behind the sensorbracket and the car dropped exactly 1 1/2"
on the back i did the same(5mm) and the car dropped 1 1/4"
i needed about half an hour for it and yourself can do it 1washer~ 1/2".
me to living in ontario, london aera and my dealer would do it only with an total alignment.= 2 hrs
any question pm and sorry about my writing its not my native language

Quick questions while on lowering topics...
Does the SL not take lowering springs/shocks like other MB's?
ALso how exactly do the lowering modules work from Renntech/brabus, etc...?

I had the stealership lower my SL, but was disappointment in the end. The drop was barely noticeable for $550. I will spend the money next time and get a LM instead.
BTW, I don't care for the ABC ride. These cars should be riding on 16-way adjustable coilovers so I can take it to the track. Oh well...
