Can you replace standard roof with pano roof?
I went to my dealer to ask about replacing the standard roof in my SL55 with the Pano version. He said it could not be done. That the structure of the car would be infringed. That the factory direct Pano SL55 had different support and you could not just replace the one panel on the roof that had the Glass.
Is that true? or can you just replace that one panel?
Anyone do it? how much for the panel?

It can be done. Perhaps some more parts need to be replaced for structural integrity (as your dealer claims) but I don't know about that.
Anyway, I've heard of several cars where the pano-roof was installed later on.
