Hello all,

I am a Benz newbie and have always loved SL's. Ive decided I want a SL55. I have been searching for a good one to buy and have come across a 2007 Black/Black with 5k miles. No 030 pkg.

Based on the market and such, what do you think a good price would be for it?

Any advice would greatly be appreciated.

There are so many variables in the cost of a used car..... milage, history, records, overall condition.

You can have a 5K mile car that has been thrashed and neglected or a 20K mile car that has been cherished and cared for, and everything in between. I would need more info, as well as the asking price and the source to make an informed comment.

Well, the asking price is 69K. The car is located in Tennessee. I’m in California so I can only assume it’s in good condition and taken care of. I wouldn't buy a car that was treated poorly.

So lets say, Good condition, 5K normal miles?

your target should be 62-64k retail for this car assuming excellent condition.

the dealer prolly got it for around 62k so offer 64k and stand your ground.
