Drag radials as summer tire
I’m thinking about running the Nitto 555R drag radials as a summer tire. It will work excellent at the track and everyone I have talked to say lateral grip is great also as long as it is dry. I don’t think the ride will be compromised nor will they be noisy. The question is, how hard will they be on the rear-end? With all of the mods, my SL should be making between 600 and 650 HP.
Has anyone run Nitto 555Rs on their SL? If so, I would appreciate some feedback.
thanks

You should try Toyo r888 which is a great DR. Just make sure you don't drive the car in the rain. Trust me on this; I learned the hard way...

I used to run BFG drag radials on my E55 and they were great and I have heard a lot of good things about the Nitto's...the caveat is if you hit any rain you need to drive extra slow and careful.
I live in Florida and in the summer there are daily afternoon showers here and I got caught in a storm one day and ended up driving about 45mph on I75...any harsh or abrupt throttle in the rain and I was on the verge of fish tailing into the next lane.
