SL55 ABC leak

My 02 sl55 RHD uk spec has just started leaking abc fluid. I took the wheel arch liner off to get a better look at the problem and can see 2 ali valve blocks. The upper one of the two has a plastic sensor which I thought was a pressure switch in the side and fluid is clearly leaking from it. I went to the dealer and to get an exploded diagram of the parts and it turns out that the leaking pressure switch is actually a temperature sender for the abc fluid. The dealer wants £10 for the sender which I ordered. Now the question is can the sender just be replaced, I realise the system is under pressure and thought if I took some of the weight off by raising the car on a ramp it may help trying to replace the sender.
Can the abc system self bleed or is there a proceedure for this or as I suspect is this dealer only via a machine?

You will need a STAR Diagnostic System in order to do it properly. Unless you want to buy a system (we have them), this is a job that might be best left to the dealer.
