SL55/63/65/R230 AMG: Hard SL55 decision to make.

Hard SL55 decision to make.
I'm first on my UK dealer's SL55 list. Do I take the first SL55 when it arrives June/July, or do I wait until the two options I really want exist (a) The glass roof, (b) The new DVD based COMAND, which I imagine will be October.
It will be replacing my SL500, so I still will have a soft top for the summer whatever

if recent rumors are correct
the new V8 Komp has been put on hold till the end of this year due to the fact its consuming almost twice as much gas as its supposed too...even mentions it in the new STAR mag and European Car mag, if thats the case all options would be available when your turn came up, although you probably wouldnt get the car until next year...I guess being in the UK and thus Europe, you may be able to get more accurate info on the SL55's release date

Nazby, if this is true, then this makes me (ironically) very happy, i'll get one of the first SL55's and it will have all the bits on. I will go investigate with my dealer on Thursday, they are very co-operative and will look up stuff on their computers etc etc
