To change the reading from mph to kph, do I need to swap out the whole cluster?
This is for a 2005 SL65 that I am looking to buy. I have a friend who works in a local mercedes dealership claimes the whole cluster has to be changed as he has seen a CLS55 swap out because the reading is in metric ( mph ) and for a car to be properly registered in Canada, it has to be read in imperial units ( km/h ).
Can anyone here please advise to make the changes, is there any other way to do it? Perhaps thru settings in the speedo?

Star Diagnostics can quickly and easily change the odometer and digital speedometer to display km and kmph instead of miles and mph.
If the analog speedometer also has to display kmph then swapping out the cluster seems like the only reasonable answer.
