SL55 Suspension acting up.

This morning as I was about to pull in to my building, I put the car in park and the car started to rock. When I say rock the driver's side front went down, came back up and then repeated its act. I turned the car off, restarted and it seemed fine but as I pulled into the building it did it again; this time not as wild. I let the car sit for about 15 minutes started it pulled out of the building and back in and it was fine. Has anyone had this happen to them?

Thanks

If it was isolated to one side, and has stopped, it could have been a slight computer glitch. If it keeps up, a visit to the dealer and STAR diagnoses is in order.

Sounds like you could have a bad level sensor at an axle. I know they can go bad and then the car will buck up and down. At times it can happen while you are driving and that can be quite an issue as the car will change direction drastically and you could end up swapping lanes when a car is next to you. I would at least go have it looked at for safety reasons. These cars are great but very complex. With these suspensions and these brake systems going in for a quick look over is always a good bet if something is not quite right.

Not a huge repair if any is needed but I like being safe on matters like this.

Dino,

It looks like the computer was acting up since it has not done it again. I think MB forgot something very important on these cars---they should have a Ctrl-Alt-Delete button somewhere in cabin

A friend with CL55 had a random issue where the car would drop the drivers rear wheel all the way down once in a while. It normally happened after a car wash. So it ended up being a sensor in the rear. Its not as likely that it was just a brain fart but that its something that happens once in a while.

If it happens again I would go to the shop.

Thanks for the advice. If it does happen again it will be at the dealer.
