355 & Sl55?
I was just noticing that a lot of people who drive an SL55, also have a 355. Myself included. I had a 99 360 coupe and an 01 spyder, both better cars than the 355 but they just don't have "it". I love that car. (I also like the SL a lot)

One of the objectives Ferrari had for the 360 was to make it a more usable car everyday and increase the average mileage a Ferrari driver does. Ferrari's will never be daily-drivers though. I defy anyone to leave a Ferrari in a parking lot throughout the day and not worry who's messing with it.
I'm very happy to be keeping my 355, it's all the Ferrari I'll ever need (especially given the trend noted above) and it offers a more extreme driving experience than the SL55. It's great but you don't want it all the time.

Were you chaps disappointed with the looks of the 360? A lot of people felt the wind tunnel had dictated it's design and that the 355 was of better size - the 360 looks a bit bulky next to it. I've driven the 355 spyder but only riden in a 360 coupe. The 355 has better sound (okay, maybe that was due to the tubi exhaust).

I particularly like the look of the 355 sideways on, reminds me of the F40. I also love the light, open, understated interior.
I originally had my name down for a 360 to replace it, but quickly decided when I saw the real car is was not for me. Ferraris have to be beautiful as well as supremely capable sports cars - that's the essence of what a Ferrari is - and I agree the the styling has been compromised in the name of the last ounce of aerodynamic performance which is largely irrelevant to even the most enthusiastic road user. I hate those nostrils as well.
I do wonder whether Pininfarina have lost the plot. Not many people liked the original 550 either, and the claustrophobic interior of that car - complete with its tacky "door open" display - is not a happy place to be. Sadly, the Enzo is no beauty either.

Last great ferrari bein gthe 355? G-baby, cmon, we all know you've got better taste than that.
The 550 is a brillaint car - always go back to the roots: front engined V12.

SL500 Ex SL55, ML55, S430
I had a black 360. I'm 6 Foot 3 Tall and it was the first Ferrari I could fit in comfortably.
I thought it looked like a bad boat from the front even when I purchased it but had to have it for the drive. I'd tried Diablo, 996TT, GT3, etc and none blew my socks off the way the 360 did.
After the pucrhase I fell in love with the looks. There's a lot of Dino about the front, and the rear if very agressive looking.
I think it is gorgoeus (and here's the bit where I fall out with all the 355 owners), and really dates the 355.

Paul, Ex 360 Owner with the replacement on order!
