Hello all,

We're looking to add the SL63 to our garage. I heard in this forum that the SL63 has poor reliability? Is it true or just a lemon isolated case problem?

How's the new 7-speed? What's the matter with it? I don't track, want a daily driver.

Thanks ahead of time!

I have had one for 5 months, I had the SL55 which was a nice car, but
the 63 is on another planet. The looks, the sounds, the incredible gearbox,
I love mine. It's not as tourque as the 55 but has the power and tourqe
at the high end where it should be, making overtaking far safer.
IN MY OPINION you won't regret it.

Once you test drive the SL63, it will seduce you.
I have 2.5K miles on my SL63. It is my summer daily driver. The SL has been perfect. I drive it only in the manual mode. I love the tranny, the engine power, the electronics, the drive and the sound of the exhaust. MB has a winner. My previous DD was an SL55 and i had numerous problems with the ABC suspension. MB appears to have gotten everything right on this car. My winter daily driver is a Porsche Cayenne Turbo; the two make a perfect combination. My "fun" car is an F430 spider.

As far as i am concerned, the SL63 has only one major flaw and that is resale value, an issue if you are a cash customer and wish to sell the vehicle in 3 or 4 years. However, most vehicles in this price range have similar problems with resale, but the MB resale seems somewhat worse than most (the Maserati and the Aston Martin may have worse resale than the SL, the Porsche has somewhat better resale). Sales of the SL63 have been VERY slow and this may help the resale value, although I would not bet on this!!

Stunning car! That's my favorite color on the SL63.

Do you have performance package on your SL63? Also where did you get the black 6.3 badges? It comes in silver normally.
