My Summer Vacation w/the SL55
Since I was a child, my family spent every summer in Eureka Springs Arkansas. My Grandfather was born there and had a vacation house there on a street so steep, they couldnt pave it.
This little town is one of the most unique places in America. It has remained isolated from the world because of its out of the way location and inaccessability.
Its in the middle of the Ozark mountains in NW Arkansas.
The town evolved around the 100 springs that were thought to have healing powers. Unfortunately (as far as Im concerned), its ben pushed into commercialization with t-shirt shops, souvenir vendors and houses turned into bed and breakfasts.
Despite this, its the setting of the town that is the attraction.
Theres no place like Eureka Springs.
My aggenda is to drive all the roads from Hot Springs north on hwy 7. Then from Ozark north on 23 to Eureka. Plus all the roads around Eureka like 62 to Rodgers.
Almost every road in the area is a great drive.
