CPO SL55 Question
I am planning to get an SL55 in couple of days, however I cant tell if the pricing is good on this Certified Preowned with 12K miles black on black clean carfax for $85K sticker price was $135K+
Only thing that is holding me back is wood trim (I would rather have carbon fiber)
What do you guys think? what sort of stuff I should be looking out for?

Since your buying a CPO Merc from the dealer, we can assume it is an 08
If its an 08 its a decent price, 07s with more miles (20K) are going for $65-66K retail, But if you want Carbon Fiber get it - Not like theres a shortage or dealers nor cars in the market
If you want to see how the previous driver drove the car, look under the front bumper - There WILL be scratches, but thats an indicator of whats going on with the car minus putting it on a lift (Which you SHOULD DO if you want to know whats the car all about and have 100% peace of mind)

Sorry about that yes its 2008.
I am not sure if its a good deal anymore, I have found cars with less mileage with comparable prices. Most likely this dealer wont budge on pricing; I guess I will be looking around for THE car I want for a good price.
Just to have an idea does anyone know what an auction price for this car be? I am guessing around ~$70K

07/22/09 BAY CITI Lease $71,000 18,039 Below BLACK 8G A Yes
06/18/09 RIVRSIDE Lease $68,500 16,152 Below BLACK 8G A No
06/11/09 NEVADA Lease $83,500 4,668 Avg ALB WHT 8G A Yes
06/11/09 MANHEIM Regular $82,750 4,211 Avg BLACK 8G A Yes
04/23/09 RIVRSIDE Lease $84,000 5,130 Avg BLACK 8G A Yes
04/15/09 NASHVILL Lease $88,500 3,747 Above BLK 8G A Yes
85K seems reasonable for a clean 2008 SL55, from a dealer. Remember these above prices do not include auction house fees, reconditioning, relocating expenses, etc...
