blower belt keeps coming off

I replaced my crank pulley with a 172 from LET about 3000 miles ago and have had problems with the blower belt shredding the front rib after hard freeway runs. I can't figure out the cause. There is a brand new idler pulley, tensioner is working great, and pulleys all appear to be aligned. Any recomendations would really help.

When we do 172mm pulleys, we need to go to a bigger belt. Did you do that?

Off the top of my head I am thinking that the pulleys have a lip on them to prevent this from happening.

Is there a chance that the pulley was installed backwards, thus not blocking it's ability to come off? Just a thought.

I'm guessing that you are referring to the idler pulley? That was replaced after this problem by merecedes and looks correct. The tensioner pulley has no lip at all. Is there an aftermarket pulley and or tensioner that I can purchase?

If everything is correct, and Merc put the pulleys, etc. on, I would bring it back. There has to be something wrong, either with the parts or the installation.

My point is that this was brought to them after the problem existed.
