SL 65 AMG pre 08 which year?
I'm looking at the SL 65's (I love Boost) and see "bargains" in the 07's and older. What are the differences from 04's through 07's and which year is the best and why? I plan to drive it most every day and I will probably want to bump up the power a little as well.
Thank you,
Thank you,

As with any car, you want to buy the best car that you can afford. Sometimes 'bargains' aren't the best way to go.

Each year is better then the last - Buy the best YEAR/Color combo you can afford, but don't pay more for a car from X dealer just because - Get a year/color combo/mileage range, and then get the best priced and best car from there.

Good information so far, When I said "bargain", my thoughts are that 75k-90k for a car that was 180k just a few short years ago is a great buy for what you are getting.
I was thinking there was a tranny difference in the years as well. I know my CLS 55 AMG has the 5 speed and I think the 63's have a 7 speed and I wasn't sure if one was better than the other for durability or other reasons.
I also read that the 97's had some kind of enhancement on the suspension or something, but I know back in the day when I had an M3, for adding forced induction (turbo), the 95 was the best due to the computer system.
Please keep the opinions coming, thanks for the responses...
Also, is there a spot on our forums with people's 1/4 times and speeds?

2007's have a slight different front end with side louvers and the steering wheel has paddle shifter vs buttons. Also, 2005's had no Sirius module standard and did have TPMS that monitored all 4 individual tire pressures. The 2006 - 2008 only monitor if any of the tires fall below a certain pressure. IMO that is an option that got worse not better. Anyway good luck.
