SL55 M45 Jeep Commander
SRS LIght - HELP...
Driving to the airport this morning my SRS light and Vist workshop light came on. I had my breifcase on my passenger seat which, i normally do not do. The car sat the rest of the day and when i got back it came on again. Has any one had this problem and how do i fix it?

Just had the same thing happen last week. The SRS light in my case was caused by high resistance in connector under drivers seat. Dealer replaced connector under drivers seat by removing seat for access. The code # for this fault was 9183. It was fixed under warranty. Bob

My recollection is the problem was a bad wiring harness in the seat. Seem to recall it can be from either drivers or passenger side. I had mine replaced with an extended warranty I had on the car. I think this issue was common on a number of different cars. maybe a more detailed search will produce enough info for you to better diagnose the problem. It would be nice if you could get codes read. That would really help.
