not really a fair fight is it? SL55 at 110+ thousand v. a 60k Boxster S? I might be more interested in a 480 HP Gemballa Twin Turbo Boxster S vs. an SL55. BTW, the Gemballa conversion costs $25000 which would bring the costs inline as well.
As for the Maybach...0-60 time it is probably faster than the Boxster S...but there is a reason that the Boxster S won the handling shootout done by Road & Track. A lot of cars go faster in a straight line...not many...including the Ferrari 360, Corvette Z06, etc...can turn as well.
