That sound is really aggressive. 
I'm seriously considering removing resonators or installing electronic bypasses on my CL.

It wasn't meant to win any Oscars you tool. It was simply meant to show what the car sounds like with the exhaust and intake. If you think you can make a video worthy of an Oscars, then film away ******.
FWIW, having owned two blown V8s already I can say I've gotten more compliments on the sound of the V12 then the E55 and SL55 combined.

You put a vid up for members to watch, all I saw was a guy backing off the drive going down the road, returning and parking up. The sound of your exhaust was only heard very briefly and not right through the rev range, but
it was the wrong place to do it ( a built up area). It was tame.
Also when the SL55 and the SL63 were designed an acoustic engineer would
design the exhaust with the aim of getting a powerful yet sweet sound.
You can't just take bits off to make it louder without introducing more odd
harmonics and discordent frequencies. From what I heard briefly there was
some harsh quality coming through. Also with more cabin noise you will get
stressed and get headaches. By all means fit an aftermarket exhaust that has
been properly designed,but just taking bits off imo is not the way to go.

lets put it that way. What are u tryin to get at? You make no sense. The guy posted a video showing you a small clip of what he had done to his car. Hes not stupid to just go rip it down his street. I'm sure he has some respect for his neigbors. I hate members like u who have nothing to do but just spit stupid remarks. This is a main reason why I dont post so often. Firstly, I can do whatever I like, I'm eccentric. Secondly, your lack of comprehension amazes me. I'm not sure if you simply cannot follow what is being said, or if you just choose not too: the video was tame, that in itself was the point. I wasn't suppose to fly through gears, or write names on the ground with my rear tires, or rocket to the moon in triple digits. It was to simply show (can't believe I'm repeating this) what the car sounds like with the exhaust and intakes under partial to normal acceleration. Do your grade school comprehension abilities allow you to process this information?
When you backed off your drive I expected you to floor it, I have never heard
a V12 with extra noise. If I had posted it I would have got a load of stick saying.. there;s sound 8 showing off his SL63.
But as my name says, sound is my business, everything from recording
studios to measuring noise and vibration on generators in some big establishments. Having said that by the very nature of the engine I would
persnonaly not let it rip.
I still say the V8 has the best sound, you should know America virtually
invented it, and it's famous sound.
