2007 SL55 Advice
I just sold an 07 vette convertible and plan on buying an 07SL550 or 07SL55, when I look at Ebay the used prices are very similar despite the large difference in original MSRP's between the two cars. I realize the SL55 is more expensive to maintain and I was wondering if someone can tell me how expensive to maintain. I'll be purchasing an extended warranty with either, my insurance rate is slightly higher on the SL but not much. Before I buy it will be inspected by a MB dealer, Car Fax, and repair history examined. In paticular I recently saw an extremely low mileage, 2007 SL55 heavily optioned on Ebay for about 59000. Any advice would be apprecited. Thanks.

The earlier SLs are known to have many issues but the 2007 you're looking at should have almost all the quirks worked out. Besides normal maintenance, you shouldn't expect any major issues with the car. The only issue with my '07 is a minor issue which is squeaky tires when turning (more like chirping).
